Patent Report of 2012 Newly Developed Active Ingredients in China

A total of 88 applications or granted patents concerning new active ingredients were published in 2012 by State Intellectual Property Office of China. The largest proportion of the ais concerned insecticides (40), followed by herbicides (28) and fungicides (20).

 

Among the filings, multinational corporations applied for 28, which accounted for 31.5% of total, and it’s worth noting that Bayer has applied for 16 patents, more than half of multinational corporations’. Most of domestic applications are from research institutes, Nankai University has applied for 11 ais, ranking the first in domestic. Followed is a chart that shows an overview.

 

 

In this report, combining the applications and granted patents of new ais in 2012, structures and preparations of these ais are detailed introduced. Large amount of real and authentic information will be supplied so that you could get insight into current dynamics of agrochemical R&D in China.
