“2016 KWIN Annual Development Conference” was held in Jianhu Jiulong Jinjiang International Hotel. Experts and professors from the Ministry of Agriculture, China Agricultural University and China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA), excellent dealers from KWIN, representative entrepreneurs from Dragonfly Agricultural Service and news media, totaling some 500 people, attended the conference to share achievements and seek further development together with KWIN. At the conference, KWIN announced that four new products would be launched in 2016 in order to improve the strength of its product team.
In 2015 the “Internet+agriculture” concept gradually tool root in the company. In the year KWIN took advantage of the opportunity and made outstanding achievements in four aspects: the construction of three major platforms being steadily pushed forward, significant achievements made in scientific research and technological improvement, brand and quality building making steady progress and Internet-based agricultural service entrepreneurship being launched.
In the next three to five years, “Dragonfly Agricultural Service” will strive to build 300 county-level service centers and 1,000 town-level service stations that will cover 10,000 villages in 50 big agricultural prefecture-level cities, to improve its agricultural service capacity. It will also strive to make it a famous service brand.
KWIN has always been emphasizing that good products are the primary factor to improve the market competitiveness of a company. KWIN strives to develop a rich product line including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators and soil treatment agents and form a complete product structure to provide crop solutions. In the next two years, KWIN will expand its product line and register and put on market a batch of new products based on its two large manufacturing bases. At the conference, KWIN revealed that it would launch four new products in 2016.

Among the achievements, one of the most outstanding ones is that KWIN has established and put into operation the “Dragonfly Agricultural Service” platform that offers quality agricultural service. Users only need to make a call and Dragonfly will come to your home and spray pesticides. The “Dragonfly Agricultural Service” e-commerce platform, including a website, a WeChat account and an app and so on, has realized O2O integration of online trading and offline service and gradually transformed the “once-for-all deal” into the “one-package service” including “product+technology+service”, solving the “last kilometer” problem in agricultural modernization and making it more convenient for farmers.
Xianming is a 25% dinotefuran dispersible oil suspension. It is registered as a pesticide used to control rice planthopper and spray on leaves. The dosage of its active ingredients is 93.75~112.5g/ha. and that of its formulation is 25~30g/mu.
Dinotefuran, a third-generation neonicotinoid insecticide, has a special structure and better performance compared to traditional neonicotinoid insecticides. Dinotefuran is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist, which has not only contact action and stomach poisoning action but also excellent systemic action and osmosis, making it easy to be absorbed by the roots and stalks of rice, vegetables and ornamental plants and be transported to the top. Dinotefuran is featured by high efficiency, broad spectrum, lasting effect, low toxicity, low residue, safety to natural enemies and no cross resistance to organophosphorus, carbamate and pyrethroid insects and insect growth regulators. Moreover, Xianming includes dispersible oil suspension, which can further enhance the product’s systemic action and osmosis.
Jianyi®, a 40% pyridaben•spirodiclofen SC, is a compound of 30% pyridaben and 10% spirodiclofen. Its registered use is to control citrus red mites and it is applied by spraying 1,500~2,000-fold liquid.
Jianyi® is a compound of two acaricides with different mechanisms of action. Through combination, pyridaben and spirodiclofen can complement each other’s advantages. Pyridaben has remedied spirodiclofen’s defect of slow effect, while spirodiclofen is more broad-spectrum. The combination of the two has expanded the prevention spectrum of Jianyi®. The product is effect to pest mites at any growth stage, has no cross resistance to existing acaricides and is safe to the environment. Its bidirectional conduction function can effectively control hidden pest mites and protect plant cambia.
Gangjin®, a 30% hexaflumuron•indoxacarb SC, is a compound of 10% hexaflumuron and 20% indoxacarb. Gangjin® is registered as a pesticide used to control Laphygma exigua Hubner and spray on leaves. The dosage of its active ingredients is 36~54g/ha. and that of its formulation is 120~180g/ha. or 8~12g/mu.
Gangjin®, as an organic combination of two insecticides with different mechanisms of action, has absorbed the advantages of both hexaflumuron and indoxacarb. Gangjin® has contact action and stomach poisoning action and strong osmosis, is quick-acting and can quickly protect crops, has lasting effect and can effectively control eggs, larvas and adults.
Broad-spectrum and efficient, Gangjin® can effectively control Lepidoptera (plutella xylostella, cabbage caterpillar, beet armyworm, cabbage moth, prodenia litura, leaf miner, apple skin worm, etc.) and coleopteran pests (Chaetocnema tibialis, bothynoderes punctiventris, etc.), but it is inefficient to scale insects, aphids and panoneychus citri. Gangjin® has no cross resistance to pyrethroids and organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides.
Xianfu, a 40% thifluzamide•tricyclazole SC, is a compound of 10% thifluzamide and 30% tricyclazole. Xianfu is registered as a pesticide used to control rice sheath blight disease and spray on leaves. The dosage of its formulation is 450~600g/ha. or 30~40g/mu.
Thifluzamide, a systemic fungicide, can protect and treat crop diseases. In the Chinese market, it is widely used to control rice sheath blight disease. It is long-lasting and safe to rice and can promote strong growth of rice. Tricyclazole is a triazole fungicide used to treat rice blast. Xianfu, having compounded the two fungicides of different mechanisms of action, has strong systemic effect and lasting effect, is safe to crops and can both prevent and treat crop diseases. Xianfu is especially effective to rice sheath blight disease and rice blast, which can save both labor and time.
In future KWIN will keep pace with the times, actively respond to national development policies and top-level design on modern agriculture and strive to make reform and become an industry leader. Regarding the strong policy signals to strengthen agriculture, benefit farmers, and enrich rural areas sent from the Central Rural Work Conference, KWIN Chairman Wu has listed four major aspects of work to focus efforts on in 2016: continuing to improve crop protection solutions with efficient products; promoting integration of pesticide and equipment and strengthening precision pesticide application service ability; developing strategic partners and launching the “crowdsourcing” model of agricultural services; and promoting mass innovation and support in agriculture and supporting agricultural startups.
